I am so confused. Oh, yes, I'm having sooo much fun with installing NRAAS. Initially I thought that you had to download everything in Master Controller. So when I went to the NRAAS webpage I was confused by the number of downloads. Maybe I should have restricted myself to just the base mod for download. So now i'm sure that there are some newbies to NRAAS who are just as confused as I am...so I'm documenting my road to trying to figure out how to install this thing. And along the way, I'm hoping for some more experienced NRAAS users' input.
Hopefully you'll find this thread useful.
1. In my overzealous glee, I downloaded absolutely everything:
Base Mod,
Cheats,
Integration,
Expanded Tattoo,
Progression,
AntiMagicScroll,
Careers
DebugEnabler
D*******
Dresser
ErrorTrap
Overwatch
Porter
Relativity
RelationshipPanel
StoryProgression
Traffic
Traveler
...and the mod that starts with a W and is to be un-named.
...and proceeded to dump all the unzipped resulting package files all into the Packages folder and happily proceeded to boot my game...which promptly had a nasty case of indigestion, regurgitated up a failure notice and crashed. Did I also mention that I had downloaded and installed the following ani mods as well:
That...uh...mod...
Tax Collector
Workouts Cost Money
...and I was seriously thinking about Apartment Mod but decided that I'd better install the ones that I had initially.
So...after the code-induced indigestion my poor computer had, I promptly removed all mods from my game (still trying to see if any (Sims3packs have to be uninstalled too) and placed them all in what I aptly named my CCDump folder which I dump every file that I intend to use at some point but haven't gotten a round tuit at this point.
So right now...I am trying to use NoIntro and see if I can isolate the problem one mod by one mod...to see if I can get them all running and find out which one is giving me the crash problem.
Right now after doing some Youtube research, I've been led to believe that the only Master Controller download I need to start out with is the Base Mod, then I start adding instead of taking all of the mods listed on the Master Controller page in NRAAS.
Hopefully you'll find this thread useful.
